A brisk day gave way to a short hail shower at lunchtime, but generally a good turnout and an enjoyable day. The journey home produced an impromptu convoy of related vehciles, led by me in the Firenza, Mick Blakemore and his wife in Mk2 Lotus Cortina and Mk1 Escort Mexico, with Classic and Sportscar magazines David Evans bring up the rear in his BMW 2002. Managed to stick together all the way to Crewe where the traffic split us up.
On the stand with our local club, the South Cheshire Collectors Car Club and a pretty good turnout of cars.
This event is in two sections - a road run, and a static show. I attended the static show in lovely sun, with the vehicles from the road run joining in from around 3pm.
A joint stand with the Vauxhall Viva Owners club saw a pair of Firenzas on Saturday, and down to just the one on Sunday. Weather was again very nice, though there was some quite heavy rain overnight on Saturday which wasn't so good for those camping at the site.
A new exhibitors entrance caused havoc with both the local traffic and those attending the show, hopefully this will be dealt with before next years show. The sun was out all day, and a few familiar faces were seen. Clashing with Audlem Festival of Transport didn't help numbers, though, so hopefully the dates won't clash next year.
Another successful show for the South Cheshire Collectors Car Club with many invited guests and live entertainment.
Weather let us down a little, but a good turnout of SCCCC club members along with DSG and VVOC cars brought plenty of people to talk to. As always the pageant was great entertainment, perhaps a little smaller field of entries than last year.
Nice warm sunny day for this show which seems to get busier every year.
Plenty of cars on our joint stand with the DSG and VVOC, including a selection of HS and HSR Chevettes.
A good turnout with eight or nine club cars attending, the autojumble was a little more sparse than in previous years.
